1658 Harvard Ave. - Offer Accepted!

We’re in contract for a house!

Our bid was accepted for 1658 Harvard Ave.

Here’s the rundown:

The good news:
5 bedrooms
2700 square feet
3 full bathrooms
2 car garage and outer building
double city lot

The bad news:
May lack plumbing, electric, windows, doors, insulation, fixtures, a non-porous roof and appliances.

We’ll probably need to replace some of the mini-blinds as well.

It’s amazing what you can get for $10,000.

Nothing like $10,000 for a nice round number.

We’ve stretched ourselves to the max on this one, but we’ll be paying cash.  (Not literally cash, $10k doesn’t shape up for much in a briefcase and I’ve never seen a manila envelope in an action movie)

We set aside enough money to pay rent and buy groceries and liquidated our non-existent assets to bring the funds together.

It’s really amazing.  6 months ago we came back from a trip around the country with very nearly $0.

Now, God has blessed us with the opportunity to not just earn, but save $10,000.

In the past we’ve found that when something’s worth doing, it takes everything we’ve got.

Thanks so much for your prayers and support, it means everything to us.  Too many things are lining up to believe that we’re the only ones praying.

We close by March 20th, so don’t stop praying yet.
