Becoming A Millionaire God’s Way

Becoming a Millionaire God’s Way: Getting Money to You, Not from You
by Dr. C Thomas Anderson

“The authors reveal practical biblical techniques to acquiring great wealth, explode the myth that Jesus was poor, challenge the belief that the Bible teaches poverty, help readers become financially literate, and teach the body of Christ that wealth is God’s will.”

Seriously?

Apparently one way to become a millionaire God’s way is to write a book telling people exactly what they want to hear, regardless of truth.

I’m genuinely interested to explode the myth that Jesus was poor, see how the Bible doesn’t teach poverty and learn how wealth is God’s will.

They must pull this from a different bible, because this sounds like the exact opposite of what my bible says.

I’m not a doctor of anything though, we’d better each purchase this book for $13.99.

But really, seriously?

Please, feel free to enlighten me below.

Nope, you’re right, it boggles the mind.

One of my huge hang-ups with the church in general.  When some preacher is on TV pimping out his or her wares, I immediately think of Jesus clearing the temple.  What was it he said while he was pissed beyond belief and hitting people with sticks?

Oh yea, he said “My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations?’ But you have made it a den of robbers!”

I remember going to one of these Richie Rich churches about 10 years ago.  They were going on and on about how people needed to give money to the church so that the congragation could get rich.

They (the church goers) were telling me this story about how this new guy, in the middle of the sermon, stood up and yelled, “You want my f-ing money?! Take my f-ing money!” and threw his wallet at the pulpit and left.

The members of the church, while telling the story and laughing, remembered how funny it was that this ‘sinner’ only had a few dollars in his wallet.

I rememeber thinking, what if that dude really loved Jesus, but was just so embarrassed and angry at the twisting of the message that he just lost his mind?

Reminds me of someone....
