Who: You and your friends.  If you have children, now is not the best time to bring them, parts of the house and yard could be dangerous.

What: Come to our house to help us clean up the yard.

Where: 1658 Harvard Ave., Columbus, OH 43203

When: 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning, April 4.  If we get started on time with 10-12 people, the work shouldn’t go past noon.

Why:  The yard now is full of glass, trash and debris.  Cleaning up the yard is a great first step to show the neighbors that someone is working in the house and cares about the neighborhood.

How:  With the tools that you bring.  Please bring rakes, steel rakes, ladders, shovels… whatever you’ve got.

We’d really love it if you could come.  Please feel free to e-mail us at to let us know that you’re coming, call us at 614.805.3982 or just show up.

If you’d just like to come and look at the house, but don’t have time to work, that’s great too.  We’ll be there until at least 2 p.m. on Saturday.

We’re not rich investors, we’re two people that have decided to live in an area many people would be uncomfortable or intimidated driving through.  Maybe someday people will help because they just think what we’re living for is a good idea and they’d like to try it too.

I don’t know what all of this slave business is about but anyway if you are open minded and are interested to know why some people believe what they do and are utterly convinced of its truth you should check this book out: A Case for Christ by Lee Strobel.

He was a journalist for fourteen years, at The Chicago Tribune. He has stated he was an atheist but converted to Christianity after setting out to weigh the evidence for christianity in an effort to disprove its validity.

I sincerely urge you to check it out if you haven’t already, not only to make a sound personal decision but also to provide you some insight into why others are convinced of the validity of the Bible and Faith.
