Help us hit the ground running!

We’re closing on the house tomorrow, and we want to get started right away.  We’ve estimated that we’ll need about $2,200 to get the house to an inhabitable condition.

Our plan is to run plumbing to the kitchen and the downstairs bathroom, and electricity to the kitchen, bathroom, dining room and outdoor lights.  We’ll also put in a front and back door.

Then we can move in and live in the dining room while we take the repairs one step at a time.

Here are some things that we could really use ASAP.  Many of these things are completely missing from the house.

rags/towels
exterior doors
deadbolts
stove
water heater
light bulbs
cleaning supplies
fridge
windows (40% are broken or missing)
outdoor lights

Here are some things that would be very helpful soon.

lawnmower
rakes
shovels
doors (interior or exterior)
grass seed
flowers/plants
paint
painting equipment
bathroom sink
washer
dryer
shingles
hardware (nails, screws, hinges, doorknobs, deadbolts, outlet covers)
misc building supplies (drywall, particle board, etc.)
furniture
blinds/curtains
basketball hoop

Thanks so much for your help!  If you’re doing any kind of home improvement project, instead of throwing away what you remove, please let us know.  We might be able to use it.  If not, we’ll throw it away for you.

Any tools or equipment that you can lend would be appreciated, however, given the neighborhood we wouldn’t be able to guarantee their safe return.  Maybe you could bring them with you for one day at a time.

I’m so excited for the both of you . . and the community . . I know that this might be not be congruent with your spiritual beliefs, but you should pray about registering at a hardware store, you know as first-time home owners . . God likes to bless those who bless others . . even if it’s for the basics.  As for me, I hafta work til afternoon on Sat, and then I’ll try to recruit a friend or two, and join you . . Sounds like you may be working well past that time . . I’ll bring what I can . . Prayers ~ Melody smile

Furniture can either reveal or hide how it was constructed, and it can be highly stylized. The design and building of furniture is related to both architecture and interior design. Home element coupons
