Short Answers: Are You Guys Crazy?

Probably, but the term is relative.

Neither of us are clinically insane, if that’s what you mean.

Jesus said a lot of things that sounded crazy.  On some occasions he even says that some of the things he talks about won’t make sense to most people.

He did say more than once, though, that we should sell all of our stuff, give to the poor and leave everything behind to follow him.

We don’t know if this is the right way to do that, but it’s worth a try.

Nearly everyone we talk to says something about how they always wished they had, said they would or talked about living in a van and traveling around the country.  But nobody ever tries it.  Nobody ever does it.

Somebody has to give it a whirl and tell everyone else if it’s as good as it sounds.

We’re willing to be those guinea pigs.

I heard someone say (probably an advertisement) that at the end of your life you’ll regret the things you didn’t do more than you regret the things you did do.

As long as we don’t hurt anyone, that’s a true statement.

At the very least, this is an adventure.

Your right, Jesus did tell us to leave it all behind and follow HIM (pick up the cross)!  Where your heart is there you will find your treasure (the world or with Christ).  I feel led to do exactly what your doing but for now could you just let me know of the most friendly, lowest cost of living, lowest crime and nicest weather place you’ve found so far, that would be great. God bless and I’m praying for you two.

Mandeville, LA meets all of those criteria.

The cheapest cost of living was in El Paso, TX. But, it’s in the middle of the desert.

Newport, TN was the friendliest.

Everybody likes something different in the weather, but Columbus, OH gives a nice sampling of all the seasons.
