Short Answers: Where Do You Stay?
Now that the van is gone, we either sleep in the car or in the tent.
Neither is very comfortable, but you get used to it.
When it comes to stopping for the night in the car, Wal-Mart allows overnight parking at any store where local law does not prohibit it.
Hate Wal-Mart all you want, but I’m in no position to pass up free lodging and cheap food. The bathrooms aren’t half bad either.
As we’ve been traveling we’ve always found a Wal-Mart every hundred miles, so that’s primarily where we’ve been going.
Now that we have the car, instead of the giant camper van, we can blend in easily and park just about anywhere, including city streets.
Now that we’re in warmer climates, we hope to find cheap places to camp. Theoretically, we can camp for free anywhere where there’s no one to catch us.
