It’s 75 degrees in Seattle today.  The locals have described it as “ass hot”.

Today’s the summer solstice.  Seattle has longer sunlight than anywhere else I’ve ever been.  The official sunrise today was 5:11 and sunset is 9:12, which is over an hour more than Columbus.

I don’t know why, but for some reason the effective sunlight today will be something like 4:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

We miss the hot summer weather in Columbus.  It makes us sad to see pictures of our friends having parties in tank tops and shorts.  Today we’re just happy we don’t need to take a sweatshirt with us.
