We’re asking for your help to drill wells for the impoverished people of Southern India.

Clean drinking water is the axis of the cycle of poverty. More than 1 billion people on the planet earth lack clean drinking water. With 1/7th of the world’s population, the country of India makes up a great portion of that number.

With only $2,500, we can drill a well in a remote Indian village that will service 600 people or more. Surprisingly enough, this seemingly small amount of money is enough to obtain the materials, drill a well, install a hand-pump and train a few of the villagers to service and maintain the equipment.

For hundreds of villages in India, a contaminated pond or lake is the only source of water. The water spreads disease and carries parasites, lowering the average life span to 30 or 40 years.

Villagers that must travel many hours each day to obtain clean water do not have the opportunities for education and employment.

Based in Bangalore, Pastor A. Stephen of Cornerstone ministries has drilled bore wells across India. He is a man committed to efficiency.

In coordination with the Vineyard church in Grove City, OH, we can ensure that 100% of our funds actually go towards a well, without “administration fees”, commissions or other expenses.

When you give $1, $1 ends up in an Indian village where it belongs. Due to our unique relationships, this is a 100% efficient transaction.

This isn’t sponsored by any church or organization, we’re just a small group of people that believe that if we act generously we can make a small difference.

Here’s what you can do:
Write a check to “Vineyard Christian Fellowship” with “Harvard - India Well” in the memo. Mail it to Brad and Melissa Pauquette, 1658 Harvard Ave., Columbus, OH 43203. Periodically, we’ll turn in all of the checks together so that we can make 100% double sure that all of the money is headed to the correct destination.

We also have a jar on our kitchen table that you can put cash in if that’s more your style.

It’s our hope that together we can provide the funds for one well. It would be fantastic if we could eventually provide the funds for many wells.

Whether you’re on board for the Jesus thing or not, I think we can all agree that all people in the world should have water that is safe to drink. Please join us.
