Our dear friend Pastor Stephen is fighting an life-threatening infection after a kidney transplant.
Pastor Stephen is an Indian who lives in Bangalore, India and runs Cornerstone Ministries, which is the primary group that drills wells for The Water Cycle Project.
Melissa and I’s non-profit is hosting an event this Sunday to raise money to drill wells in India.
The Family Fun Ride will be held at Three Creeks Metro Park from 12:30 to 3:30. I hope you can make it!
The Water Cycle Project is a grass-roots organization that plans long-distance cycling trips to raise money for fresh water well drilling in rural India.

When I read the book of Acts, I have one basic question: why don’t we see the same thing today?
I know that every sect, cult or denomination believes that they are the most accurate representation of Christianity.
But why don’t we see miracles and supernatural phenomenon like they did?
Maybe it was all bologna to begin with.
Maybe God decided not to act like that any longer.
Or maybe we’re missing something.
Ideas?

That’s true.
It seems like whoever you trust, though, miracles and supernatural phenomenon are isolated events experienced by a minority of Christians.
I just think it depends on how you ask the question. If you really listen to people’s life stories I think you’ll find that most people have “miracle stories.” Whether you believe them or not is another issue.
Besides, there’s an explosion of Christianity happening all over the globe right now, all by far the majority of those are expressions of a supernatural faith. Non-supernatural faith may be the norm in Western Christianity, but Western Christians ARE the global minority by far. The average Christian is a African, or Asian, or latin-American, and most of them would say they know exactly what it’s like to live in the book of Acts.
some folks say we do. it’s simply a question of who you believe and why.
