Raising money to drill fresh water wells in rural India has been a cause that is close to Melissa and I for a long time.
The Water Cycle Project(TWCP) is the next adaptation of that goal, and hopefully will allow us to expand our fund-raising efforts to incorporate more people and drill more wells.
You can find out more about TWCP at WaterCycleProject.org, but it’s a small, grass-roots organization that plans long-distance cycling trips as a way to generate funds for well drilling in India.
As it happens, today, March 22, 2011, is also “World Water Day”, a day when organizations of all different focuses and scopes collaborate to raise awareness of the global clean drinking water crisis. Please stop by WaterCycleProject.org to make a donation or get involved today. Everyone is welcome to join us for any of our 2011 Ohio cycling trips.
Please consider making a donation today. Just $5 will buy clean drinking water for life for an impoverished Indian child. Clean drinking water from a village well gives children the opportunity to attend school, and raises the value of women in society by granting them the time to contribute to the family financially.
