We had to replace two of the tires on our car.

We noticed a funny smell when we were driving down a mountain, so we stopped to check it out.  The smell was coming from the front left wheel well.

I noticed that the tire had a large divot in it.  So we replaced two of them.

That hasn’t solved the smell problem, but we’re working on figuring that one out.  Our best guess is that there could be a minor problem with the braking system on that wheel.

It only seems to smell when we’re using the brake heavily while turning, such as when descending a 6,000 foot mountain.

All’s well for now.  The new battery seems to have solved the electrical trouble.

When it rains…
