Check out OneWorldEverybodyEats.org.

It’s a restaurant in Salt Lake City.

Their mission is simple, to provide wholesome, nutritious food to everyone in the community.

Their model is equally as simple, but also a bold approach.

Everyone pays whatever they want.  Portions are served based on what the customer feels he can eat, not what the management deems worth $8.95.

At the end of the meal, the customer pays whatever they thought the meal was worth and can afford.

So if you only have $1, you pay $1.  If you have $1 million you can also pay $1 million.

If you don’t have any money at all, you can volunteer for an hour and get a meal voucher.

It’s really fantastic.

It doesn’t rely on simple donations.  The organization labors, and though blessed by generosity, continues its mission through its own fruits.

Those that can’t pay have the opportunity to work instead.

Everybody eats.  Genius.
