I just finished a website for Wings of Praise Dance Ministry.

Check it out at WingsofPraise.org and let me know what you think.

I’ve built a few websites in the past couple of weeks, but this one was a nice experience.

It’s a simple website.  There’s not much to it, or a lot of features.  The ministry just wanted to get their information out there.

The nice part was that they told me exactly what they wanted but that they were flexible.

That’s the best place.

Like any service industry, there are all kinds of customers.

Some clients say that they don’t care what they want, just give them something nice.  But they actually know exactly what they want (or sometimes exactly what they don’t want).

It’s fine, I don’t mind (I get paid by the hour), but it can be frustrating doing revision after revision with no end in sight.

Other clients tell me exactly what they want, but the things that they want are either impossible or more time consuming than they want to pay for.  All sites require at least a little bit of flexibility.  It’s almost impossible for me to transfer the image from your imagination to your computer monitor.

All of this is to say that Wings of Praise was the perfect client.  They were very friendly and knew what they wanted.

I’ve never seen a dance ministry before.  But it sounds interesting.
