Evangelism

Our churches send so many resources out of our country, but the gospel is not losing ground any faster than it is right here in the United States.

We’re so busy looking at how much help everyone else in the world needs that we fail to see the state of our neighbors.  Perhaps it’s a conscious distraction.

Our churches send teams to third world countries for two weeks at a time.  Certainly they do some good, but it looks a lot like tourism.  How much better could those funds be used in the hands of natives than in the hands of white men?  Once again we’re spending more resources pitying people than actually helping them.

In the end we’re helping ourselves clear our consciences, something far easier than helping others accomplish real change.
