Our Mission

We believe in one God, our Father, who sent his son Jesus Christ to save us from our sins. In him we have eternal life.

Jesus repeatedly calls his disciples to leave everything and be completely devoted to him. If we profess to believe his word, and we are not subject to this world, then we should make every attempt to follow through with those instructions.

As "Christians" we must bond together in community to put the church, as Jesus prescribed it, into action.

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved." Acts 2:42-47

If we profess to be his servants, we must strive to put his words into action.

"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has annointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance for our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion -- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair..." Isaiah 61: 1-3
