We believe that healthy and fulfilling lives are based on a set of priorities. Once we have established our priorities, decisions can be made that most accurately reflect our beliefs and goals.
Our priorities are, in order:
A decision must not interfere with any principles above itself. For instance, if an action should fulfill our desire to be environmentally responsible but distract from our devotion to God, it is not worthwhile.
Likewise, if an action will increase our devotion to God, even though it may interfere with our enjoyment of the Earth, it is still worthwhile.
Traditionally, Americans are taught to base our decisions on an inherited religion. However, a lack of fulfillment often results because of dissociations between religious doctrine and observed religion.
Similarly, so-called seculars experience internal conflict due to perceived societal moral priorities which, in the absence of God, are nonsensical.
Our goal, as is the goal of many religious movements, is to rectify the rift between religious doctrine and belief as practiced.
