A seed pt. I

A microscopic seed

will find a microscopic egg

and unite

and that life will grow and divide

unbeknownst to the mother and father

life has begun

in the most quiet and humble of ways

in a place of darkness and nurturing

a place where life has everything it needs

everything to be safe

and well fed

so it will grow from a speck to 7 pounds

in the course of months

the life grows

and I grow

and we multiply

and we must shift our perspectives

and our mindsets

to now include one more.

who will they be?

what will they be like?

all I know is, I already can’t imagine

life without them.
